Heart and Soul
"And she did it with the professionalism, class, grace and humility that only a true Queen could." Quincy Jones.
At Breakpoint as an executive coach and advisor to high impact leaders across North America our strength is building relationships with purpose that inspire people to work at their best. We make your future bigger than your past. The most important step in that process is letting go of the past and believing that your best work is ahead of you. Learn from your past but don't let it create your future. That means letting go of attachments and relationships that have become unhealthy. Build new relationships that encourage you to create your vision of your ideal future. You decide who you are and where you will go.
Building relationships starts with you. Each relationship that we have creates meaning for us and for those around us. The quality of our relationships are rooted in the quality of our behaviour. This is how you "show up". When you want to change, get more from your relationships, you have to change what you are willing to tolerate from other people and other things. It is about being honest with yourself and everyone around you. Psychologists call this self-signaling. When you change the behaviours, you change the relationships. Being conscious of your current self is the cornerstone to build the future that you want. It is not about doing more. It is about stopping the behaviours that are holding you back.
Imagine. Most people do not take the time to imagine an exciting future. They become satisfied with enough. There are no boundaries. There are no limits to your imagination. Your best work is ahead of you.
Aretha Franklin was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1942. A gifted singer and pianist, Franklin toured with her father's traveling revival show and later visited New York, where she signed with Columbia Records. In 1987 she became the first female artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2008 she won her 18th Grammy Award, making her one of the most honored artists in Grammy history.
It's time. It's your time.
Be bold. Get clear. Get organized. Make that change.
