At breakpoint, it’s always about the people. It’s not just about making a great business with people. It’s about making a business great for people. Successful organizations know that executive coaching is one of the most sustainable practices to inspire people and ignite action.
I have been speaking to a lot of executives and leaders recently about the concept of happiness and wellness. People facing difficulty, who have had setbacks, that are looking for the skills to learn and grow. Resilience. Now there is a lot being written about resilience and it is easy to get lost in the literature. After many years as a high impact executive and advisor to CEO's I believe that resilience is a skill. It is about how we perceive and react to stresses often at the intersection of our personal and professional lives. Difficult emotions are not our enemy. Our reactions can be.
To better cope in stressful situations without being overwhelmed emotionally you need to see your thoughts and feelings clearly. Easier said than done! When you come into an uncomfortable situation name it. Then take a deep breath. That allows you to quickly be aware of the situation. Awareness is key to shaping what happens. Awareness lets you control your thoughts and feelings. Awareness practiced builds resilience. You can be in control.

Often life is difficult. How we react in those moments will shape our story.
